How cooking works in Tears of the Kingdom
A dish takes its effect from the ingredients that share one: two different effects cancel each other, and an elixir with clashing effects turns into Dubious Food. Monster parts only make elixirs, never meals. Monster Extract gambles the result: the duration becomes 1:00, 10:00 or 30:00 and the effect drops to its minimum or gets boosted. More different ingredients raise the critical rate, which adds hearts, potency or five extra minutes.
