Ocarina of Time songs on Switch 2
In the Nintendo Switch 2 remake, Link plays the ocarina with five buttons: L, R, A, Y and X. Here are the 12 songs of the game, the buttons to press in order, where you learn each one and what it does. The melodies are the same as in the original game; only the buttons changed.
Zelda's Lullaby
YXAYXA Press: Y, X, A, Y, X, A
Impa teaches it to young Link after he meets Princess Zelda at Hyrule Castle. It proves you are a messenger of the royal family: it opens the waterfall that leads to Zora's Domain and answers the Triforce symbols found in several dungeons.
Epona's Song
XYAXYA Press: X, Y, A, X, Y, A
Malon sings it at Lon Lon Ranch; play along with her as a child to learn it. As an adult, it calls your horse Epona in Hyrule Field, and cows give you milk when you play it to them.
Saria's Song
RAYRAY Press: R, A, Y, R, A, Y
Saria plays it for you in the Sacred Forest Meadow. It lets you talk to her from anywhere through the ocarina, and it cheers up Darunia, the Goron chief, in Goron City.
Sun's Song
ARXARX Press: A, R, X, A, R, X
You learn it in the Royal Family's Tomb, under the Kakariko graveyard. It turns day into night and night into day, and it freezes the ReDeads for a moment.
Song of Time
ALRALR Press: A, L, R, A, L, R
Zelda leaves it to you along with the Ocarina of Time, near Hyrule Castle Town. It opens the Door of Time in the Temple of Time and moves the blue time blocks in dungeons.
Song of Storms
LRXLRX Press: L, R, X, L, R, X
The man in the windmill of Kakariko Village teaches it to you. It brings rain, opens hidden holes and drains the water from the Kakariko well.
Minuet of Forest
LXYAYA Press: L, X, Y, A, Y, A
Sheik teaches it to adult Link in the Sacred Forest Meadow. It warps you straight to the meadow, in front of the Forest Temple.
Bolero of Fire
RLRLARAR Press: R, L, R, L, A, R, A, R
Sheik teaches it in Death Mountain Crater. It warps you to the crater, near the Fire Temple.
Serenade of Water
LRAAY Press: L, R, A, A, Y
Sheik teaches it at the end of the Ice Cavern. It warps you to Lake Hylia, near the Water Temple.
Nocturne of Shadow
YAALYAR Press: Y, A, A, L, Y, A, R
Sheik teaches it in Kakariko Village. It warps you to the graveyard, near the Shadow Temple.
Requiem of Spirit
LRLARL Press: L, R, L, A, R, L
Sheik teaches it at the Desert Colossus. It warps you back to the Colossus, in front of the Spirit Temple.
Prelude of Light
XAXAYX Press: X, A, X, A, Y, X
Sheik teaches it in the Temple of Time. It warps you back to the Temple of Time from anywhere.
